Support Committee

2381 is managed through a partnership between the Department of National Defence (“DND”) and the Army Cadet League of Canada (“ACLC”).

The ACLC is a civilian non-profit organization which supports Army Cadet Corps across the Canada. At the local level, the Support Committee functions as the Corps non-profit arm which manages the Corps finances and engagement with the community.

The Support Committee is typically composed of the parents of our cadets, although members of the community unrelated to our Corps can also participate. It functions like a combination of a School PAC (Parent Advisory Committee) and a non-profit’s Board of Directors.

For parents who are looking to go the extra mile and engage with their children’s success in the program, volunteering with the Support Committee is a great way to do that.

The Support Committee meets once a month with the Commanding Officer to discuss current events and actionable items.

For parents who may not want to be as involved as Committee Executive, but still wants to help out on occasion, there are several volunteer opportunities throughout the year to contribute.

If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to our Support Committee at nonprofit@2381armycadets.com.
